Component output comparison

Here I have taken screencaps using a Fuji Finepix 5500 4 Megapixel camera, from a distance of around 1.7 metres from the screen. The camera settings between each scene are different (due to differing brightness etc.), but the same for each scene between players. Please note that they don't really give a fair indication of the way it looks in reality due to photographing much closer than you would sit, and also the problems with cameras capturing the reality of the display. But they give an idea of differences.

The screen these are being displayed on are a Teac 3233A HD LCD screen (native res 1355x768), my rundown of that set is here.

In all, not much in it really, we're not upscaling yet, and we're still in the analogue realm, so huge changes should, I guess, not be expected. What wasn't expected by me was that it actually looks more pixelated via the Sony than the Pioneer. Check out the full res shots of the Back to the Future at the top, or The Incredibles, you'll see what I mean. Or... if not, how about these closeups?

After further testing it's been discovered that some of the aliasing/jaggies are caused by the choice of pause mode. There are two on the unit, and the other pause mode does give a noticably smoother image on pause. But still, I did notice the lack of smoothness even in playback while using component.
